If there is a rent increase on a Letting, you can record this on the Rent Schedule so that you can continue to record the correct rent for the Letting.
To do this, go to the 'Rent Schedule' from the right-hand Letting Menu.
On the Rent Schedule page, you will see the Rent Definition at the top of the page. For the Tenant whose rent you wish to increase, click on their Rent Amount.
In the pop-up window that appears, set the desired increased rent amount and then select from which Rent Period you wish for the increase to take effect from.
Lastly, click 'Save'.
When I try to set a Rent Increase, I am not able to set a Rent Period. How do I resolve this?
If you are trying to set a rent increase and you do not have the option to set the Rent Period from which the increase takes effect from, this will either be because there is only one remaining outstanding Rent Demand on the Rent Schedule or due to all of the Rent Periods already having transactions recorded against them.
If you require a future Rent Period, you can create this by going to the 'Letting Details', clicking 'Edit' and changing the Letting's end date to the end of the desired new Rent Period. Then click 'Save'. You will then be able to record the rent increase.
