Once the Letting has come to its end, and you are satisfied that all balances are accounted for - e.g. the Tenant is not in arrears that you are actively chasing and the Landlord has been paid any balances owed to them - you can then go ahead and mark that the Letting has finished.
To do this, go to the Letting and click 'Letting Details' from the right-hand Property Menu. Then click 'Edit'.
Set the 'Status' from 'Active' to 'Inactive'.
If the Letting was previously Periodic, ensure you untick the 'Is Periodic tick box.
Lastly, click 'Save'.
Early Terminations
If the Letting was terminated early, you can denote this by setting the date the Tenant moved out in the 'Early Termination Date' field in the 'Letting Details'. This will shorten the Rent Schedule as appropriate and will flag any balances the Tenant is due to pay, or the Tenant is due to be refunded as a result of the early termination.
Once these balances have been cleared, you can then mark the Letting as 'Inactive'.
