How do I mark Right to Rent Checks as completed?

When you add a new Tenant to a Letting, the System will prompt you to carry out Right to Rent checks against the Tenant. These show on your Alerts page under the "Tenants Without Right To Rent" alert in the 'Lettings Management Alerts' column. Any Tenants where their Right to Rent is expiring, and due an additional check, will also show in this alert.

Once you have completed these checks, you can indicate this on the system by following the steps below:

  • If on the alert, click on the Tenant in question. If you are not on the alert, simply navigate to the desired Tenant.
  • Click on the 'Lettings Management Details' in the Tenant Menu and then click 'Edit'.
  • In the 'Right to Rent' section, tick 'Has Right to Rent?' and enter the relevant information relating to the check(s) you carried out, such as the evidence you saw and the date this was checked.

  • Click 'Save'.
  • Any documents relating to the Right to Rent checks, such as a scan of the passport or third party verification reports, can be uploaded in the Documents tab found in the Tenant Menu.
