Several requirements came into effect at the end of May 2022 with the new Trading Standards regulations regarding material information on property listings. All of the required fields are supported in the 10ninety system, and will automatically be included within your property listings - either where directly supported by portals, or alternatively automatically appended onto the property descriptions (although this can be turned off if these details are being manually included in the descriptions).
Please find a useful breakdown below of the information that now needs to be included:
Sales Listings
- price
- council tax band
- tenure, and if leasehold:
- ground rent and any review period
- service charge and any review period
- length of lease
- if shared ownership, the percentage of share being sold, the shared ownership rent
- any other obligations relating to the tenure (via the "Additional tenure information" textbox)
Lettings Listings
- rent
- council tax band
- deposit payable
The system will provide a warning when you put a property on the market if any of these fields are missing. Portals are also planning to highlight missing information.
Where are the new sales tenure fields?
Go into a Sales property > Property Details > under 'Additional Information' > once 'Tenure' is chosen to anything but 'Freehold', the new options above appear.
The textbox is underneath this section.
