For tenancies where the rent is being covered by a mixture of Housing Benefit payments and top-ups from the tenant, you might want to track the two sets of payments separately. This allows you to identify any arrears on the tenant's top-up payments.
To do this, you can set-up a special tenant in the system, "LHA" and add that tenant to the tenancy as a second (dummy) tenant. You can then add the "LHA" to the rent schedule, and split the rent due between the LHA and the real tenant.
