To record a valuation appointment in the system, go to the diary and click on the arranged date and time for the valuation. Select the diary item type of "Valuation" in the pop-up form.
For valuations, the property is not yet fully entered into the system - simply search for the vendor/landlord in the "Property owner" field (or add the owner on-the-fly, if not yet registered, by clicking the "Add New" link). Enter the address of the property to be valued in the "Location" field.
The instruction status field on the form can be used to track the owner's decision on whether to instruct, following the valuation.
The "Open Valuations" alert identifies any valuations that are due or valuations from the last 6 months that are awaiting a decision from the vendor/landlord.
